64-68 Ford Mustang Fuel Tank, 340 Stealth, Universal - 18697

MORE MUSCLE CAR STEALTH TANKS

Available on PlumbingMonkey.com

The calls have been pooring in and trust us… we’ve been listening. We launched the 1st Gen Camaro and Firebird Stealth Tanks in the first part of 2012. First calls we took, “Do you have this tank for (enter your make and model here).” While we promised more to come, we also were careful to point out that we will not be offering these tanks for every car under the sun. But, the most popular muscle cars and most likely to receive an engine swap or an EFI conversion, sure. And now, as promised here are two more applications from Aeromotive. The Tri-5 Chevy and the 1st Generation Mustang. Both are here and ready to rock. For more information and details see the information provided below.
P/N 18697 – 1964-1968 Mustang Stealth Fuel Tank
P/N 18699 – 1955-1957 Chevy Stealth Fuel Tank
These new tanks feature a pre-installed, in-tank 340 Stealth Fuel Pump and complete, in-tank performance baffling.  This revolutionary new tanks make EFI conversions and late model EFI engine swaps a snap. The built-in 340 Stealth Fuel Pump, which is the hottest craze in in-tank performance fuel pumps to hit the market in years, can support up to 700 + hp EFI and up to 1000 hp carbureted, when used with the proper Aeromotive bypass regulator.
Engine swaps and aftermarket EFI conversions are becoming incredibly popular, and thanks to an abundance of new parts that support this trend, the job is getting easier every day!  Now, this is true more than ever thanks to new, OEM replacement Stealth Tanks from Aeromotive.  Anyone who’s done this type of project has learned the hard way that getting good performance and drivability from an older car with an EFI conversion requires a properly designed and baffled tank, preferably with the fuel pump mounted inside the tank.  Converting the old school, stock tank, whether it’s the original or a classic reproduction tank, is a big job, requiring extensive fabrication.
With the introduction of these new Muscle Car Stealth Tanks, Aeromotive has taken a huge bite out of the cost and complexity necessary to bring your muscle car up to date… Just strap the fuel tank up as a direct replacement for the original tank, hook up your wires, a fuel supply and return line, and your done. Forget welding, hacking, crazy expensive custom tanks and all that extra plumbing. With the purchase of one part number you get a powder-coated or painted silver, stock appearing steel fuel tank, complete with a correct Ohm universal fuel level sending unit, 340 lph (@40 psi) Stealth Fuel Pump, pre-pump filter and a billet aluminum, black anodized hanger assembly complete with (3) ORB-06 ports; (1) Outlet, (1) Return, (1) Vent. All this comes preassembled, flow and pressure tested, from Aeromotive, with a full 1-year warranty.
Whether you have a carbureted small block or turbocharged EFI LS or Mod motor, these tanks are the perfect option for your muscle car. You get the stock appearance you want but with Stealth technology you need, making this the ideal foundation for a fuel system on anything from a clean restoration to a serious, pro-touring ride. System recommendations for both carbureted and EFI system are listed below. See Figure 1 and 2.
